{"id":15370,"date":"2020-08-10T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-08-10T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pinnacle-people.ap.applyflow.com\/changes-to-jobkeeper-eligibility-timely-boost-for-businesses\/"},"modified":"2020-08-10T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2020-08-10T00:00:00","slug":"changes-to-jobkeeper-eligibility-timely-boost-for-businesses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pinnaclepeople.com.au\/changes-to-jobkeeper-eligibility-timely-boost-for-businesses\/","title":{"rendered":"Changes to JobKeeper Eligibility \u2013 Timely Boost for Businesses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t<strong>Changes to JobKeeper Eligibility \u2013 Timely Boost for Businesses<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tMore Australian businesses will keep receiving JobKeeper wage subsidies from September, with the federal government to ease the eligibility criteria for both businesses and employees in response to the stricter lockdowns in Victoria.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tBusinesses and not-for-profits will only need to show a fall in their GST turnover in the September quarter, instead of the June and September quarters, to qualify for the extension of the scheme, which comes into effect at the end of September 2020.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThese changes will also apply to the second extension of JobKeeper, which will begin at the start of January 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThere will also be changes for employee eligibility.&nbsp; New staff who commenced employment from 1 July will also be able to receive the payment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe planned reductions in the JobKeeper payments will still go ahead with the extension of the scheme, which comes into effect from 28 September.
