{"id":15330,"date":"2019-08-01T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-08-01T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pinnacle-people.ap.applyflow.com\/national-labour-hire-licensing-qld-sa-and-vic\/"},"modified":"2019-08-01T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2019-08-01T00:00:00","slug":"national-labour-hire-licensing-qld-sa-and-vic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pinnaclepeople.com.au\/national-labour-hire-licensing-qld-sa-and-vic\/","title":{"rendered":"National Labour Hire Licensing; QLD, SA &#038; VIC"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n\tFunding for a national labour hire registration scheme was announced in April\u2019s Budget (in addition to the Fair Work Ombudsman also receiving $2.3 million a year to establish a dedicated sham contracting unit).<\/div>\n<div>\n\t&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n\tWith this renewed focus on labour hire, several State governments have introduced or announced the establishment of state-based labour hire licencing schemes. Queensland was the first to introduce a Labour Hire Licensing Scheme which came into effect on 15 June 2018. Both Victoria and South Australia have followed suite announcing all providers in these states will be required to hold, or at least have applied for, a licence in order to operate by the following dates:<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tVictoria &#8211; 30th October 2019<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tSouth Australia &#8211; 1st November 2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n\tAs your labour hire partner, it is our responsibility to obtain these licenses. We fully support and have complied with this legislation since its introduction in Queensland and are one of the labour Hire providers to be awarded a license in South Australia. We have submitted our Victorian license application and are currently awaiting its release.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n\t&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n\tThis is an important initiative designed to ensure greater compliance, transparency and protect workers. Penalties will apply to those businesses that engage an unlicensed labour hire provider.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n\t&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n\tAs always, you are in good hands with Pinnacle People.
